The story behind Spin City….
Spin City was established by Kate Johnstone in 2007 in Bristol with the aim of making exercise more accessible and welcoming to women. As it developed, Spin City wanted to create exercise classes for both women and men that provided great fitness benefits in a social, fun and friendly environment that was open to all ages, sizes, abilities and fitness levels.
Pole fitness was the perfect answer!
Meet your instructors
Ruth Vass – Studio Owner
Ruth started pole in 2010 and joined the Spin City team in 2011 after falling in love with the sport and wanting to spread this fantastic form of exercise to other people. Ruth is a fully qualified advanced Pole Fitness Instructor and Sports Therapist; she runs Ruth Mills Therapies at nearby Thatcham House (Turners Drive).
Ruth teaches Inverting Upwards Pole Class on Mondays at 5.50pm, and Children’s Pole and Pole Silks on Thursdays from 4.45pm

Hannah Wakefield
Hannah started pole back in 2010 with Ruth and has been with Spin City Brimpton every step of the way. Hannah is a fully qualified Advanced Pole Fitness Instructor, and teaches Mixed Ability Pole on Mondays at 6.50pm.
