Bambi first tried pole back in the early 2000s and has watched with interest as the industry and the art form has developed and grown. She has been regularly training pole for nearly 10 years, hoop and silks for seven, and sling for nearly three years. She sees her pole and aerial training as a journey, with ups and downs, and realises it is much more than just a fitness activity – it gives a huge sense of achievement, however small or large, and she sees how it offers benefits mentally, emotionally as well as physically. It is empowering, rewarding and a lot of fun – and accessible to all!
Bambi has been teaching since 2015, starting with NECCA training for silks and trapeze, and is now a full-time aerial fitness instructor. She is qualified to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced pole, pole silks, strength and conditioning, and stretch and flex, as well as having a number of teaching qualifications in hoop, silks and sling. Bambi also holds a specific children’s pole and aerial teaching qualification.
Bambi is registered with the PDC as a pole instructor and regularly updates and enhances her knowledge and understanding by taking CPD courses – whether it be workshops and private classes, updating her Safeguarding courses, or completing further instructor training.
Bambi has performed in the majority of the Spin City Showcases, and has helped students prepare their performance routines. She teaches pole at Brimpton on a Wednesday.
George started pole in 2011 and within a year was training to be an instructor. George is now qualified to teach beginner and intermediate pole classes and teaches at Brimpton on Wednesday evenings.
“It’s the first form of exercise I get excited about and miss if I can’t go. I have my own pole set up at home and also a free standing pole so no matter where I am I can pole outside. I have made long lasting friends, it’s like a family at the studio and the whole pole community in general. I couldn’t imagine not having pole in my life.”
George is known as the Cupid queen as it’s her favourite move! George has also performed at many Spin City showcases over the years. Outside of pole, George is a bit of a ‘petrol head’ and owns several Mustangs. In 2019 she also set up her own wedding car business!
